Server Settings Explained For Conan Exiles

This article is aimed at assisting you in setting your Conan Exiles server to your choosing.

Options highlighted in red are old settings, which may or may not work and will likely be removed by the devs in the future of Early acces.

Server Settings

General Server Password --------> The server password can be changed here. Admin Password -------> This password gives administration rights.

Battleye enabled – This enables battleye cheat protection on the server. Fun-com highly recommends this to avoid cheaters from affecting your game-play.

PvP Enabled -----------> When this is flagged, Player vs Player is enabled on the server.

Community –--------> Selecting a community from the drop down list will affect how your server is filtered in the server list. Please set up your community responsibly, in order to help players find a server that matches their play-style.

Server Region – Selecting a server region will affect how your server is filtered in the list. Please select your region to help players find a server that is close to them. No Ownership – Flagging this means that the ownership rules on the server do no exist. This means that all players can loot all chests, use all machines, dismantle all buildings etc.

Version 1.0 Can Damage player owned structures ---–> If this is flagged, players can attack and destroy other player’s structures.

Enable Sandstorm – Flagging this allows sandstorms to periodically sweep across the Exiled Lan

Notes

Commands with player names, sometimes only require a part of the name. You can write "John" instead of "John Doe" in some cases.
Use the "" tags to teleport to players or give yourself items that have a space in the name. E.g. "Metal Door".

rcon.login password --------> Use your 'Password' to login into Rcon via in-game console (F1).

rcon.password "password"-------> Setup Rcon password.

status ------------> See which players are currently connected to the server.

notice.popupall "message" -----> Sends a notice to everyone in the server. It will pop up in the top-middle of the screen.

say "message" Sends a chat message

find * Lists available console commands.

kick "player" --------> Kicks player from the server.

ban "player" or "steamid" --------> Bans player. You still must kick them from the server.

banid "steamid" "reason" ---------------> Bans a steamid from the server.

removeid "steamid" ----------> Unbans "steamid".

unbanall -------------> Unbans all players.

banlist ---------------> List all the steamID64's that you have banned.

banlistex -----------> List all the steamID64's that you have banned with ban reasons and names (if you added in extra info upon ban)

truth.enforce true/false -------------> Server kicks people automatically when they are potentially hacking.

save.all ---------> Saves world map and p

How to change the day and night cycle on your ARK server

Log in to the TCAdmin panel and go to your game servers dashboard.

| Click Game Services on the left hand side (you may need to expand "Game and Voice Management", then select the server you want to edit.

Click on Configuration Files
Click Configuration Editor for the GameUserSettings.ini file
In here you will be able to find the settings to do this:

You will need to change the value next to the above settings depending on what cycle you would like. (advice below)
Once set, click save and start the server

You can find info of each of the settings below to assist with this.

The default value 1 provides the same cycle speed as the singleplayer experience (and the official public servers). Values lower than 1 slow down the cycle; higher values accelerate it. Automatic Mod Installation and Update for ARK: Survival Evolved

We have an automatic mod install and update system available for our ARK: Survival Evolved game servers. With a simple setup, you'l never need to worry about installing or keeping mods up-to-date ever again.

Important notes

This only applies to ARK: Survival Evolved.
When using this method, you must specify the mods in the command line, not the configuration file.
You can find the Mod ID, of any mod, or map mod, at the end of the URL. For example:

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1581857481

The id is at the end after id= . So the Mod ID would be ++1581857481++

How to setup:

Open the command line manager. (You'll see a button in your control panel) and then click the New button.
If you haven't already, you can configure the full command line here.
For the mods, you would place the MOD ID's in the provided workshop mod ids box. separated by a comma:

||| Ensure you do not have spaces in-between the mod ID's as this will not install any mod after the first mod. It must be set as shown above.

| If using a map mod, select the map drop down and choose the Any Workshop Map Mod, then in the box that shows, add the map mod ID. You must also add this MOD ID to the END of the workshop mod ids list set in step 3. Otherwise the files will not be downloaded.

How to resolve lag on your Space Engineers Server

Accepted Answer

When there’s lag on a Space Engineers server there are three likely reasons as to why its happening:

A map issue
A mod issue
An issue with configuration or in-game script.

The most likely reason is that the server is experiencing map issues which can be resolved by following this article.

How to perform a map clean-up:

Please note that as of 23rd August 2019 you must clean up using ingame admin tools (ALT + F10) or using Torch! SE Toolbox no longer works and we can no longer provide assistance regarding it.

We understand the in game tools are not as efficient as this tool so please do ensure you clean the world as best as possible via these in game tools to maintain a good and well performing world as this is vital to a lag free gaming experience with Space Engineers.

Using Space Master

To use Space Master, load into your server and hit ALT + F10. You must have admin privileges to open the admin menu and once opened it should look like this:

Once opened, open the dropdown and select Trash Removal this is where you'll set parameters for what should be removed during trash removal.

Now, you have another way to clean using Space Master if you'd wish for a more immediate trash clean-up and that's using the entity list and removing those grids

How to spawn dinosaurs and items on a ARK: Survival Evolved server

Spawning Items

To spawn items, you first need to get the item's ID. List of all item IDs can be found on here https://ark.gamepedia.com/Item_IDs.

| These commands get put into the console when connected to the server. You can access this pressing the Tab ↹ key.

The console command is this formatted like so:

GiveItemNum ITEMID QUANTITY QUALITY BLUEPRINT For example: cheat GiveItemNum 1 1 1 0 This will give you a simple pistol.

Important information regarding the numbers in the above example.

The first digit is the item ID.
Second digit is the quantity.
Third digit is the quality of the item you want to spawn.

**Example. ** GiveItemNum 1 1 10 0 Will give you an ascendant or master-craft pistol.

Fourth digit is wether you want the item to be a blueprint or not. Putting 0 means false, and 1 means true. Example. GiveItemNum 1 1 1 1 This command will give you a simple pistol blueprint.

Here are more examples to make it easier for you to understand: cheat giveitemnum 14 30 1 0 ---- This command will give you 30 cooked meat. cheat giveitemnum 120 100 1 0 ---- This command will give you 100 mejoberries. cheat giveitemnum 132 1 10 0 ---- This will you you an ascendant longneck rifle.
