How to enable logging to your ARK: Survival Evolved game server

Sometimes you may need to add logging features to your ARK: Survival Evolved game server.

Reasons Include:

Experiencing crashes
Server not starting fully

To do this:

Stop your ARK game server

Open the Commandline Manger in the TCAdmin control panel and:

If you have not previously edited the command line, click "Select" for the command line of the map you currently have active. (there are multiple pages, so check them all, if you dont see your map, contact us.)

If you have previously setup a command line, click "Select" on it again to open up its options.

In the Custom Options box, add -servergamelog

Please note: you must have a space before -servergamelog
Click "Apply"

Start your server again.

Where are the logs located?

Open the File Manager or login with FTP and navigate through the folders: ShooterGame > Saved > Logs

We do not recommend keeping the logging on all the time as it may decrease the performance of your ARK: Survival Evolved game server. You can turn it off, by removing -servergamelog from the command line.
