How to setup OpenMod RCON
Whilst OpenMod and RocketMod plugins function with OpenMod we do not recommend installing both as they will cause issues. OpenMod is the successor to RocketMod and if you use RocketMod plugins requires migration steps to work with OpenMod. ServerBlend does not support either method officially and provide them as available installations. You should consult the respective support discord for help with either tool.
Login to your ServerBlend Control panel, here.
Stop the server.
Install OpenMod via the mod manager.
You will be prompted for a RCON password. Enter what you wish for it to be. Hostname can be ignored.
You can change this password at any time by editing it in the openmod.yaml file
Click install. Let the process complete.
Start the server and let it start-up fully. This is important if it is your first startup.
Download MCRCON https://sourceforge.net/projects/mcrcon/files/latest/download
Open the file and type in yoru game servers IP address and press enter. (NO PORT)
Enter your RCon port and press enter.
Type in your RCON password entered in the steps above. The format goes: login:password / root:password
Press enter.
The default login username is root and can be amended by editing your openmod.yaml file.
If done correctly your be presented with the console. If you get an error, retrace your steps and confirm you have completed everything.
You can now proceed and use RCON commands.
